He won 4 awards at the 2011 Gospel Industry Awards including Best Male Vocalists, Best Songwriter, Alternate Song Of The Year and Video Of The Year. He has won over 10 local and international awards. The Singer has 6 albums namely My Gratitude (2011), Sound Of Praise (2013), The Encounter (2015), God Of Miracles (2017), Wind Of Revival ( 2019) and The Experience (2021) He became the first Gospel musician in Ghana to win VGMA Artiste of The Year. His latest album released in 2021 is called The Experience All the albums earned Joe Mettle accolades and awards in and outside Ghana. In 2019, he dropped his fifth album known as Wind Of Revival. In 2017, he blessed fans with God Of Miracles the album. In 2015, he released his third album titled The Encounter packed with 16 songs including Come Holy Spirit and Jehovah Praise which were critically acclaimed.
In the project, he featured several gospel music icons including Kingz Cudi and Min Danny Nettey. In 2013, he released his sophomore album known as Sound Of Praises which contained 12 songs. He dropped his debut album known as My Gratitude in 2011 which contained 11 songs including Ayeyi and Awareso. After gaining experience and exposure Joe Mettle decided to launch a solo career. He later decided to join several music groups and became a backup singer for many established artists such as Cindy Thompson, Reverend Tom Bright Davies and Soul Winners among others. He started as a drummer but his main interest was pursuing gospel music.
The talented singer graduated from the Pentecost University College in Accra Ghana. He is the son of Emmanuel Mettle and Florence Adenkule who hail from Accra, Ghana. His real name is Joseph Oscar Nii Armah, He is widely known for having a great voice and exceptional lyrical ability. He is an award winning gospel singer and songwriter from Ghana.
